Thank you for your confirming statements, Steve, but could you please advise where exactly this marker, as shown in the web site link that I have included in my answer to Mr. Owens' response, is located, if not on the battlefield? It would seem from the FLORIDA REENACTORS ONLINE article, that it is located either on the battlefield, or in the battlefield cemetery. No matter where it is located, it is still a travesty, as John Fearn and John Francis have never been proven to be one and the same person, and this was confirmed by the descendant of John Fearn. As he stated directly to me, it was all "conjecture."
I do apologise for any wrong statements. Please confirm exactly where it is. The descendant was shocked to hear that it had even been ordered, and it would be proper to remove the offending item, without any evidence from the family.
