Re: Consolidated Crescent Regiment

Hello Bob,

Yes, Stephen Lord is my gg grandfather. You can see a web page that I did on him at http://home.comcast.net/~clord001/site/?/page/Stephen_Lord%27s_Last_Letter_Home/&PHPSESSID=000c9b66603ce4b61feae7920c973f4b . There are several Cons Cres soldiers in that cemetery including Capt Abram Thigpen (Co A, 11th Btn and Co B Cons Cres). I think Stephen may be the only one with a veteran's marker. Thanks for remembering him.

I am about to publish a web site on the Crescent/Cons Cres. It has a searchable roster with the information from Booth's on each soldier. There is also a link to a "virtual cemetery" that has the grave sites of over 350 veterans of the Crescent/Cons Cres. I have Weldon's grave site as in Blue Branch Cemetery in Vernon Parish. Is that the right one?

I am researching the regiment and always on the watch for photos, letters, family history etc. If you have anything on Weldon I would appreciate any information that you can share.

Clay Lord
