Thanks for sending more about the Kimberlins. They were cousins of my GGGgrandmother Margaret Watts Hays and she described Cousin Sam's murder in a letter to her mother. Margaret wrote that Cousin Sam's oldest son was with the CSA and I don't know if she was referring to Henry J. Kimberlin or Isaiah (Za) Kimberlin. Henry appears with his family in Washington Co., KY in 1850 but I haven't been able to find any reference to him after that. There is a Sgt. J. Kimberlin in Co. D, 12th MO Cav. which is the company his brothers joined and would like to confirm that this was Henry J.

I'll write to you separately about your family for my genealogy file.
