Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Unfortunately I don't have any more info on the Wigginton's in this unit. It is a tough one too because James is a very popular name among my Wigginton soldiers and I have at least 2 other James from other states and units that I am trying to figure out. I have posted (awhile ago) on the Native American board as well but was surprised to come across this discussion on this board. Even though I have been researching these soldiers for almost 2 1/2 yrs now, I am still a novice! I didn't think about the Cherokee units being involved in Missouri. I've been following this board because of some of my MO soldiers.
