The so called Harney-Price "truce" seems a rather convincing proof that Harney couldn't comprehend that the Confederacy had commenced a war against the Union and his removal was therefore entirely justified. I do object to the reference of Blair "scheming" to remove Harney. Opposing view points are most welcome to what I consider a lively, but friendly discussion, especially because as the home page so correctly observes: this was a case of Americans fighting Americans.
