I can appreciate that. At least, what you now have is a lot more than a lot of folks whose ancestors served in Missouri on either side (or both) during that war.

I implied before that I have problems with that sketchy account in the Macon County history. Now you do, too. You can believe what you want, but I thought the truth might take you further in the right direction toward finding out what Private Dixon experienced and why.
