From the Rocky Mountain News (Denver) 20 August 1862:

"To Be Shot
Chicago, Aug.14- Quincy Herald says 26 rebel prisoners at Macon have been executed for implication in burning Railroad bridges. Thirteen others are to be shot on Monday for the same offense."
