Bruce, thanks. I spent the day yesterday researching Annie Fickle online, and as you said there is a lot on her. I have three unpublished letters that belong to a friend that were written by a Confederate woman in 1866 who had been a prisoner of war in Gratiot prison. She talks about some of her fellow prisoners, mentioning Annie only briefly. However, she gives important information about what became of some of the others and also gives a detailed description of the horrors of her cell. I will probably do an article based on the letters for UDC Magazine or some other publication - no idea who might be interested. Sue M.
