We see eye to eye on the topic Bruce, the object of this particular project is lay out a map that shows the Mills of Missouri and Northern Arkansas, describe the Mill and its history. Finding pictures of the mill and its owners would lend to the project also.

An example of what I am talking about is the reason why I am looking at Missouri overall. At Newtonia Mo, Mathew H. Ritchey owned a steam operated Mill that was fed from a spring adjacent to the Mansion. This mill was able to operate year round which means that Mathew H. Ritchey, who was the Pay Master for the MSM in SW Missouri, controlled the grain markets in that part of the country. It is a reason why Newtonia was constantly garrisoned and harrassed by the guerillas. It certainly exchanged hands several times.

I think if we can examine the other mills and their location compared to guerilla activity we can draw a good picture of events and the reasons behind them.
