Terry, I have some information on four different mills along the tributaries of Black River. When I get back home I'll send it to you. I have pictures of one and I believe that the Museum in Ellington has a picture of at least one more, I'll check with them before I go home. Carter's Mill site is underwater in Clearwater Lake. Buford's Mill was at the three forks of Black River. Another Mill was on Sinking Creek above Hwy 21 south of Centerville. A man named Woolford had a Mill somewhere along the Iron/Reynolds line and was killed there. I have quite a bit of information on the death but, very little on the mill. Also there is a lot of information on mills on Current River and the Eleven Point.
