Re: Frederick Kreger

An interesting take on names. There appear to be two individuals with this name in the records, yes scrambled.

1. Frederick Kreger Co L 1st NE MO Cav. cards filed as Ferdinand Kugar.

2.Frederick Kreger (22 y/o)Co E 1st MO Cav (Union) see Frederick Kreager. He deserted Bloomfield MO July 11th '63 rejoined unit Little Rock August 6, 1864 with charges dismissed. Native of Prussia, enlisted Jeff Barracks Aug 1, 1861. 5'8" light hair, blue eyes, light complexion. Occupation: Baker.

So looking at Ferdinand Kugar we find enlistment card as 35 y/o private enlisting in Young Persell's Co Aug 3 1862, Boone Co. He was captured Nov 17, 1862 Miller Co. and is listed as escaped from Gratiot January 8, 1863. On intake card at Jeff City Nov 18,1862 he is listed as being captured by Lt. Layamore\Langmon\Layramore EMM https://www.fold3.com/image/88564331

I find a Srgt Sylvester J Langhorn in Co C, 67th EMM. This unit primarily a Montgomery Co outfit. Langhorn was from Danville MO
I am not having much luck finding this Lieutenant.
