I am related to the Blewett family. That is the correct spelling, for sure. Regina Harrison's mother WAS a Blewett and Regina married S.D.Lee in the Blewett home. For those of you who may not know, Stephen Dill Lee's first name is pronounced as 'Stefan' and not 'Steven.'

Gen. Lee and Regina had only one child, a son, whom they named Blewett Lee. He became a corporate lawyer for a railroad in Chicago and married a yankee woman!!! The family didn't seem to care for him too much as he distanced himself from his famous father.

I have a pic of young Capt. Randle Blewett before he went off to the ANV. He was mortally wounded at Gaines Mill, and buried in an unmarked grave. The family erected a memorial monument to him in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus.
