I'm not 100% sure where I got that 'factoid.' It was in my general notes regarding some of my kinsmen in the 6th MS, researching their flag, etc. It could have come from the book, "The Bloody 6th"? I may have read it somewhere on a website/regimental history someone prepared.

If you know of or have something different regarding the colorbearers at Shiloh, there is no quarrel here.
