Hi Paul
When Jim asked his question I did think about the Scotish question a lot of people in Scotland do claim this.They have recently had there assembly election the Scotish nation party gaining most seats and promised a vote on independents for Scotland.
As with most things there are two points of view and a lot of people in England hold the opposite view about the taxes and would be glad if Scotland became independend.
There is a theory in England that the London government spends a lot of money in Scotland and Wales at the expence of England because this can win them enough seats to stay in power.I must point out that this is a theory and only those in power really know the true situation.
I hope Jim will not tell us off for being of topic.
