I agree keep it focused. Chase many of us feels your pain, north and south.

This is a really touchy subject typically that typically takes a path of futility.

I will however say that not matter how hard it is to accept I am grateful that certain Southern States such as Alabama did see fit to do something after the war to help disabled war victims and their widows no matter how small and the fact it was 30 years after the war ended. Note I said States!

I am also grateful that the United States Veterans Administration honors war vets from both sides with grave markers and memorial markers.
