"This is a most valuable, -- a most sacred right -- a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world"
Ok, Craig, I have read it all and my humble opinion says that Lincoln was saying that every person has the right to overthrow his government, every group of people whether a minority or a majority hold that same right. Now no matter what word you use for the Secession of the Southern States, Revolution or Secession Lincoln says that it was their most sacred right to do so.
Now in this same speech he legitimizes the Government pursuing the Rebels and forcing them back into the Union. Such as England tryed with the US and Lincoln did with the Confederacy. But according to this speech it is still my right to overthrow the Government if I can. I'm don't think I can but if I could,,,,,
