I am not sure that those things happened the way you said they did. I don't doubt that innocent civilians were killed by both sides. Was it purposeful, I don't think so but if one has an agenda it can be made to sound that way. If you refer to the ladies that were sent north from Roswell and other sites. They were part of the war effort and were mercifully removed from the area in order to insure that they would not be producing materials of war. I think that was an act of kindness. In germany we carpet bombed them for doing the same thing. What cities do you refer to that was filled with women and children when they were burned to the ground and where can I get the stats to support that contention? And finallly where can I read about the civilans that were purposely murdered.
I have parts and portions of my great grandfathers notes on the war as he called them and he was with Sherman from Vicksburg to the grand parade in Washington after the war and I have not read any of this there.
