I can understand your sentiment Bryan. There was some discusion concerning VMI and Lexington a few months back on this board. It is without a doubt a town "lost" in history, surrounded by the most beautiful part of Virginia. I too love that area. I was born and raised in Lynchburg another piedmont area of the state. My wife and I regularly travel on a "long weekend" and end up near Lexington. Next time you are in the area visit Natural Bridge and stay at the hotel there. It's an old school place but the prices and comfort are priceless. And the hotel restaurant will impress you with it's Southern menu and charm. Terri and I will stay there and alternate back and forth between Lexington and smallmouth bass fishing where the Maury and James Rivers meet at Glasgow. I think Mr. Turchin recently returned from a trip there. I remember his impression. We are truly blessed in Virginia with our mountains, beaches, rivers, and streams. Our history is the ultimate bonus. I welcome any of you here and will personally point you to some sights of interest that might be off the beaten path. I hope Jim doesn't think we have wandered off topic on this post. God bless all of you on this board. I have learned a lot from you and I hope I have shared a little.
