I know that some of my ancestors got into the state units because of age another one or two served in regular CSA units and were disabled and joined the state milita. It is true that way down in southwest Mississippi there were few Union poeple,that has been proven by reserach of units from that area. Nearly every able body man served in these units.

I would suppose that I need to research those border states and such a little more to gain more insight to the events of that area, however with friends like you and Frank I can also find reliable info just for the asking.
