That is the idea this person I am discussing this issue with has. I have been able to prove to him that the war and secessionare two different events and slvery was not the cause of the war. He is sharp and knows a lot about history, but his views are twisted. Using information David has provided to this board over the years I have been able to show him his idea of history is slightly warped.
