Stan, maybe my view of Jews was skewed because of my religion and upbringing but I agree that at least from what I could tell the Jewish folk in this area were succesful and well respected and owned many businesses. Maybe they would say different, I don't know.

Two of my Confederater ancestors were elected to the Mississippi legislature and served. Col. Benjamin Franklin Johns, 7th and 9th Mississippi, was even named Speaker of the House and Col. Moses Jackson of the 33rd Mississippi also served.
