10th Amendment debate

After reading the State Soveriegnty and States Rights thread replies below we still do not seem to have answered the question of the proper role of the states in this county. Nor the proper role of the federal Government. This to me seem to have been the main argument which started the last Civil War in this land.

Do States have any soveriegnty outside the Federal Government?

Are we a collection of 50 seperate counties which are united in common interest by a central government? Or are we just 50 subsections of a single county subject to the will of only 219 officials? Where does the power of government come from?

Democracy can be the most tryannical forms of government following a dictatorship. It doesn't make any difference how many people it takes to make that dictatorship, whether there is only 1 dictator, as in the case of Adolf Hitler, or 219 Repersentatives that repersent the will of only 30% of the people in this country, according to the polls. They claim falsely to repersent the will of 51%. But do they really? But even if they do, where is the logic that says 150,000,001 people in the United States have the right to tell 149,999,999 people what they have to do. That is the rule of force.

This is why we will have another civil war. It may not be states against states as it was in 1860. But it will come.
