I'm not gonna repost the whole thing, but you know as well as I do that several reasons were given, including the argument against emancipation because of CSA constitutional reasons. You are trying to boil the whole cuase and reasons for secession, the war, and how the South fought the war on the sole point of maintaing slavery. That is not true.
