Thanks David I have that...Bryson's second in command, James K. Morrow, was my g-g-uncle...who made it a point to deal with Cam and James Taylor's boys every chance he got after that. In point of fact this went on well after the war. September 10 1860 would find Harlan A. Boone formerly of Co. B 25th NC Infantry dead and Captain Jim Cooper of Thomas' Legion crippled after a dispute with Lt. James K. Morrow in the streets of the town of Murphy. County Seat of Cherokee County NC.

I was looking for info on some of the units that stuck closer to home. Like the people Burnside used at Knoxville and the unionist in Sievier County. Hard to find records on those National Guards, Home Guard and Enrolled Militia units.Thanks again.
