Two years ago a seven foot long mountain lion was hit and killed by a vehicle on the local highway, just five miles away from my home. Funny this subject came up because, while going through the laws of states, for Mississippi there was a bounty on panthers and wolves, $5 per, and even a small sum for the litters. Now we know why they dimished so rapidly.
