Great stuff! I think William P. Johnston was not at the funeral. He makes no mention of this in any of his writings, nor does his biographer. Lamb, the author of the note I have (soon to be posted by Webmaster) was in error. I place WPJ in Wytheville VA. on April 7, 1862 to? (sick leave). But, I have a ledger, in WPJ's hand, I believe from Corinth, listing all his father's possessions. This list is dated April 17th, 1862.
