Thank you for posting picture on previous blog. I am trying to figure out how it is done as I now have a photo bucket portfolio. Anyway, Colonel William Preston Johnston was not at the New Orleans funeral , he did just not make it down to Corinth in time, the body was in New Orleans on the ninth, he was allegedly sighted in Corinth on the 10th. He remained in Corinth long enough to collect his father's belongings; I have a copy of this inventory dated April 17th 1862. Also, Dr. Yandell(who might have saved ASJ had he not been sent off to aid wounded by ASJ) wrote him an extended leave of absence on this very date, April 17th.
