Re: Fly your flag at half staff today

I didn't know about his politics until a couple of years ago, from an interview with him I saw. I was disapointed. After that I thought about his first movie role in "A Face in the Crowd" about a Southerner who becomes famous for his home spun talk- becomes a famous TV star and finds out he can persuade the masses, gets power hungry and into politics. The movie shows that the "home spun" humor of Griffith's character was all made up and not sincere; I put his politics with his role in the movie and it all made sense. Come to think of it, with his musical skills, I never saw Andy Griffith ever on a television show that was primarily for Southerners or country stars, like the nationally sindicated Hee Haw or the Grand Ole Opera. I just checked the IMDB and I'm right.
