Re: Fly your flag at half staff today

I just read these posts. I think we all should have flown our Confederate flags at half staff on the 4th, not for Andy, but for what was happening 149 years ago. We were losing thousands of our brave Confederate soldiers, fighting for what they believed in. Gen. Lee was regrouping after the 3 day battles of Gettysburg, Vicksburg had fell. I might be wrong, and I am sure someone will tell me if they think I am. But the Confederate Flag, is not a flag that should ever be associated with anything, including actors, that is not directly associated with the Confederate States of America. Association with the CSA does include members of the UDC, SCV, public display for Confedaerate Memorial day, display at Confederate cemeteries, display at public cemeteries that are the final resting place for Confederate veterans, and even individuals that wish to fly it as a salute to the Confederacy and what it stood for, and in rememberance of the brave men and women that suffered years of unbearable hardships to stand firm for what they believed in. I am sure there are alot more acceptable displays than I have mentioned, but for the sake of space I have limited these to what came to mind in the few minutes it has taken me to write this.
