As far as political and relgious beliefs are concerned, we may have more in common with the Virginian Patrick Henry than many of the other men from that period. The political system has same problems and there's no permanent fix. Fixing the political system is an unpleasant and difficult task like reparing the roof.
If you just complain about it and don't do anything, the problem will get worse.

While watching the movie 2016, Dinesh D’Souza reminded me of the article as he explained why people are naturally inclined to support and help him. If you don't care to read, the idea is that white people have a positive affinity for a wise, helpful black man. He appears during a time of trouble to help and heal.
Characteristics: intelligence, confidence, calm voice and wise-sounding words.
Examples: Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Michael Jordan.
