Re: Capt. Andrew H. Ramsay, 1st S.C. Inf. (Orr's)

Mr Coddington, We have some information about our great grandfather but I'm afraid it is rather limited. Most of what we have is in the form of a diary that Azalia Jarrett kept during their courtship and the early months of their marriage. We do have a color painting of him in our ancestral home in his full dress uniform. By the way, our ancestral home was also the home of our great grandfathers brother on our mother's side of the family. His name was William Frierson Fulton and in his latter years he wrote a book about his civil war experiences. The name of the book is FAMILY RECORD AND WAR REMINISENCES. If I can be of any help, feel free to get in touch.
