Re: Capt. Andrew H. Ramsay, 1st S.C. Inf. (Orr's)

Bruce,

Perhaps I was not clear in my posting. My wife's gg-grandfather was one, Lemuel Thomas Ormond, a sergeant in the 5th Alabama Battalion, Company "A". Her uncles include, John F. Ormond and Peter A. Rogers, also of this same company. I setup a tribute site for the 5th Alabama Battalion several years ago because of my wife's ancestors. I transcribed "FAMILY RECORD AND WAR REMINISCENCES, Including the war reminiscences of William Frierson Fulton, Jr., while a member of the 5th Alabama Battalion, Archer's Brigade, A.P. Hill's Division, A.N.V." by William Frierson Fulton, Jr. as additional historical content for the site. Neither my wife nor I are related to William Frierson Fulton, Jr. He was; however, a messmate of my wife's gg-grandfather, as is borne out in his account of their walk home from Appomattox to Sumter County, AL.

Jim
