I have indexed Scott and Angel's “History of the 13th Regiment, Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry, U.S.A.” In the roster of Company C on p. 459, I see that Private Waitsell Aldridge enlisted at age 19, on Sept. 24, 1863; was mustered in on Nov. 8, 1863, and was transferred from Company F on Nov, 9, 1863. It is noted that he was“Wounded accidentally.”

He is listed on page 484 among the “surviving comrades” (in 1903), living in Hughes, Mitchell County, NC.
