Actually, I found his wife's petion made in 1905 - the first year widows of the confed. could apply. The problem was that there were at one time two 13th Tenn. Cal. One for the north and one for the south. The one for the south was better known as the 8th reg. (and even the 10th for a very short time.) I do want to thank you for your interest.
