The National Archives Guide Index to the Official Records doesn't list any action taking place on this date. The one citation in the Official Records tells us that the site is on the road to Lebanon, Tenn., and that Gen. Thomas had one regiment stationed there.

If I knew the designation of the regiment, I could check its location in Dyer's Compendium. Dyer's does list a skirmish near LaVergne on Nov. 23rd involving the 44th Indiana Regiment.

We could also check to see if this incident was recorded in the regiment's or company's record of events.
