Re: Cage's Ford Skirmish Historical Marker?

I did check the records and saw the one citation. The one Regiment he referred to was most likely ours, the 31st Ohio, but one ford west on another road however. I also checked Dyer's and still no luck. There is a lithograph of the skirmish in the Retreat from Gettysburg volume of 'Battles and Leaders of the Civil War', page 25. A much much more detailed caption is on the original in the Ohio Historical Society, concerning the location of Companies and People of the Regiment as well as the engagement itself. It is also recorded as Cage's Ford on his tombstone and both his pension and military records. Heaven's knows why it is so unknown even in such detailed official sources such as OR or Dyer's. Seems like the area only recently has become aware of this small insignificant engagement do to the erection of a Historical Marker that may or may not be there (see link below). Seem's like I'll have to do the road trip thing. Thanks.
