Re: Flag or standard for 3rd Tenn Mounted Infantry

Here is an interesting tidbit from the Issac Stamper Diary, Stamper being the Fife Major for the 43rd Tennessee:

Sunday, April 26, 1863 - Regimental inspection at nine o'clock. Preaching at ten o'clock. Dress parade at five o'clock at which the decision of the Court Martial in the case of Capt. Hensley was read. He was cashiered and his name sent to an enrolling officer for conscription. Captain Moorlock and Lieutenant Giddings of 3rd Tennessee Regiment were published for not reporting some mutinous cases in their Companies. They were suspended for three months, one-half of their wages deducted for that time. Pettett, in their Company, for mutiny had to do police duty in the Regiment, three months forfeit of pay, and mark time three hours each day on a barrel head. Sergeant Major Graves [43rd] acted at [sic] agent."
