Hello,

Recently while searching for one of our men that was reported to have taken the oath from Rock Island Prison, I found someone with the "same" name in an Unassigned US Volunteer Infantry. Very interesting but was unable to find out more on S & S System......unable to get into it with any success. It did say there wasn't very much on this "unit" and I couldn't bring up the roster. Would anyone have any information on this unit?

The person I was looking for I did find on the Rock Island roster...was even able to follow him up to Rock Island but know further. It does say earlier in Lousiville that he refused to take the oath. Found three with the same name that took the oath.....different units.
