I am looking for the burial place of SION ELKINS - listed as Leon Elkins, Serg. Co A & E. 27th Inf. Reg. The unit was in Columbus, Kentucky when they were ordered to Bowling Green, Ky on Nov. 22, 1861. It is reported that they began arriving in Bowling Green on Dec. 30th, 1861.
Records show that Leon/Sion died 5, Dec, 1861. Can anyone tell me where to look for his death and burial, obviously he did not arrive at Bowling Green. Any help appreciated.
