Not surprised that Wiley Bishop died of typhoid at Andersonville; probably drank some of the fetid water that ran next next to the sinks/latrines like lots of his fellow prisoners did.
Do you live somewhere near Carroll County TN perhaps?? My gg-grandparents Wiley Bishop and Mary Eliza McMullen were married in Carroll County in the 1840s before moving to Hempstead County AR.
Have often wondered if the Wiley Bishop in the 7th Tenn. Cav. (Union) was perhaps named for my gg-grandpa Wiley Bishop.....(??).
