I agree George, it was unfortunate that many Honorable soldiers who were discharged because of wounds, and sent home then later were forced to take the Oath, so they and their family's could live in relative peace because their homes were in Union occupied areas.
Then denied pensions for it, is a travesty. I think exceptions should have been made.
Ah well, we didn't make up the rules.
