Irene Walker Burton,
Your "J.G. Walker" is mentioned four times in my book. He was in Company "D" of Bourland's Border Regiment, not Border's Regiment. John Pedham Border commanded Border's Regiment.
Unfortunately, your J.G. Walker was killed at the Battle of Elm Creek. I have spent a lot of ink on this battle and the other activities of Bourland's Regiment.
Yesterday, I sent the final CD, with corrections to my proofs of my paperbacks, to the publisher for my 994-page book: BOURLAND IN NORTH TEXAS AND INDIAN TERRITORY DURING THE CIVIL WAR: FORT COBB, FORT ARBUCKLE, & THE WICHITA MOUNTAINS that is described on my website: www.bourlandcivilwar.com.
If you'll send me an e-mail, I'll send specifics.
