Re: Finding Captain Willke's company

Capt. Edmund Creuzbaur was my great grandfather. He is buried in the Old High Hill Cemetery out of Schulenburg, far right hand corner in the back just down from the side gate. There is a footstone which was recently put down by the CSA. The historical marker about the battle at Calcasieu Pass is further down the road about a mile by St. Mary's Church.

My grandfather Creuzbaur retired from the military and my gg uncle Welhausen, who was the twin to Creuzbaur's wife, Elizabeth, took over. Creuzbaur was very unhappy with the way his unit was being treated and there was conflict which caused him to resign. I have the papers. I also have a copy of the "Big Guns of Fayette" which is signed by Mr. Bothel.

I think my grandfather Creuzbaur died from pneumonia after retiring from the service. I have much information on my grandfather Creuzbaur and his wife which I received from Germany. I have a picture of Creuzbaur but not sure how to send it at this time.
