I would think that graves for veterans of the 2nd TX Infantry would be scattered across the State of Texas, and beyond. Since the unit was captured and paroled as a result of the Vicksburg surrender, many returned immediately to Texas where they were reorganized for coastal defense at Galveston. My GGGrandfather was a member of Company D who went home to NE Texas and later rejoined the unit in Galveston in 1864 following the prisoner exchange. He's buried in an unmarked grave in Macedonia Cemetery outside Pittsburg, Texas.
