Thanks for the info. on Hamner. Can you give me a citation for the "family records" from which you noted the bio info? There are a ton of documents in the CMSR for Hamner in the 2nd Cav. as you are likely aware. There is a book titled "Hamner Heritage" compiled by Black and Ryan in 1981 which is supposed to have info on this soldier but I have not been able to get a copy via ILL.
For your 2nd Cav. roster, John Greener also closed the war in Miller's Company, Bryan's Regt.
