Carolyn
I can find no reference to William Henry Fleming in connection with my branch of the Fleming family. I can find no records to any of my branch being from Missouri. They came to Tesxas in 1826 and settled in what is now Red River County. Mordecai Hord Flemings mother's maiden name was Hord. hince the middle name of William Hord and Mordecai Hord Fleming. I understand the Dallas Library has the original Fleming familly bible in it for reference work. That might help you. The information on William Hord Fleming I have came from my mothers DAR papers. Mordecai's father was John Fleming whoi served in a North Carolina regiment as a Quarter Master sergeant during the Americnl Revolution.Incedentely, William Hord Fleming's great grandfather on his mother's side was Colonel George Waller of Virginia who was a regimental commander in the Contintal Army during the American Revolution. He is also thr great grandfather of U.S.Speaker of thr House of Representatives Sam Rayburn.
I am sorry I can't help much with your William Henry Fleming. Good luck on your quest.
