Hi Joe,
Noticed you are a BOWEN...so am I. My GrGrGrandfather was Green BOWEN who mustered into the 8th TX Infantry from Goliad Co, Tx in 1862. My Bowen's migrated NC>TN>MO>TX just prior to 1860; my GrGrandfather was the youngest but first to be born here in Texas around 1856. Any chance we are related? Some of the early names were Joshua, John, possibly Hardy and Benjamin Bowen. I have read that there were cousins who stayed north, but my branch came on down to South Texas, where I currently live.
