Most probably so, I am decended directly from Cpt. Robert Bowen whose son came from SC toHichman Co. TN. There were 8 brothers in all who fought in the Rev. War. One, Reece Bowen was killed at Kings Mountain SC, After the war the brothers began imigrating to other states as the territory opened up. Some went to Miss. Ga. TN. some are still in SC. If you will E-Mail me I can help you. Our decendants worked with Davy Crockett in the Tn legislature to get Hickman County established. Also Davy Crockett's father fought at the battle of Kings Mountain ( be sure to read about this fight on the web) Also another decendant of one of the other 8 boys fought at "The Battle of San Jacinto " securing Texas freedom from Mexico.
