Blackstone Hardeman, Jr.

My GGG Grandfather is Blackstone Hardeman Jr. I'm looking for information about his service in the C.S.A. I found some information and documents but the picture is still a bit out of focus. I have records showing him as a Maj. by the end of the war and that he was a Quartermaster for Gen. Horace Randal. http://www.angelfire.com/tx/RandysTexas/page44.html I have a War Department record showing his commission was approved by President Jefferson Davis.

I also have a reference to him as being in the TX 17th Cavalry Regiment Company A. His name is second to last in this list. http://www.researchonline.net/txcw/index/index104.htm

There is another reference to him as being in Company K of the First Texas Infantry Regiment. http://www.youngsanders.org/manuscript_resources.htm#H

My GGG Grandfather was very well connected his cousin was Brig. General William P. Hardeman and his brother was Capt. Peter Hardeman. I'm curious as to know more and specifics on any battles he fought in etc...

Thanks to any Civil war buff that can help me. If you want to see the documents I have let me know.

Thanks,

Gary
