In Response To: J.W. Clark ()

"I tried the Texas Ranger Museum with no luck having documentation for him. But their records are incomplete."

The staff at the Ranger Museum do not know what they have and do not look very carefully. I mailed them several requests for information of a Republic of Texas soldier and Ranger with no response. Went by the museum personaly later and the soldier has a large display case at the entrance with his rifle and accouterments. In addition to a large file in their archives with info from the descendent who gave them the rifle.

As suggested in a prior post. Send more important clues.

Most importantly, contact the Texas State Archives in Austin. Attention:Donally Brice.Request a search of ALL Files.
